PPW Coloring Contest Winners
CWEP celebrated Public Power Week, October 6th-12th, along with more than 2,000 other community-powered, not-for-profit electric utilities that collectively provide electricity to 49 million Americans. Public Power celebrates the reliable, affordable electricity CWEP provides to our Carthage community. Public Power puts the people of Carthage first, and Public Power Week gives us the chance to emphasize the advantages of locally owned power to our families and friends.
One of the many fun activities CWEP hosted during Public Power Week 2024 was a coloring contest with our Carthage R-9 elementary schools. Through this contest our goal was to engage students and the community in a way that will enhance interest and understanding of the role that efficient, safe, reliable, and affordable electricity plays in powering our community.
We selected one winner from each grade at each school. These students won a prize for their efforts and will be recognized at an upcoming school assembly. Please take a moment to check out the WINNING artworks below!
